bloop.video
little bubbles of commentary pop up over the video, timed to the exact frame — a joke lands the second the thing it's about happens on screen. that's a bloop.
you don't leave the video and nothing pauses. the clip keeps playing; the bubbles just show up over the top, say their piece, and get out of the way. an AI writes them.
the voices
every track is written by a voice — a persona with its own register and its own idea of a good time. same video, wildly different bubbles. pick one:
- Fact Bloopdry facts, one placard at a time
- Rise & Fallevery moment, secretly the beginning of the end
- Peanut Galleryrapid-fire riffs on everything but the human
- Reality Bannerone sharp adjective, maximum eye-roll
- Sports Color Commentarycalling the video like it's the big game
- Rogue Captions[captions that quietly lost the plot]
- Snarkmaximum attitude, minimum mercy
- Boomer Dadwho is paying for this and why so loud
- 90s Valley Girllike, the best thing ever. or the worst.
- Mansplainerwell, actually, let me explain the obvious
- Dad Jokesevery frame is a setup for a groaner
- Brain-Rot Zoomerscoring reality in rizz, auras, Ws and Ls
the attitude dial
every voice has a knob from 0 to 10. it's the edge dial. low is restrained — the voice holds back, keeps it gentle. crank it and the same voice gets sharper, meaner, fully committed to the bit.
being honest: a high-dial track is meaner, and that's the fun. it's still aimed at the choices on screen — the outfits, the edits, the fog machine — never at anyone's body, face, or private life. turning it up changes how hard it hits, not who it's allowed to hit.
every bubble is labeled
here's the honest part. the AI says things it verified, things it's just riffing on, and things it flat-out made up — and it tells you which is which. every single bloop carries a little glyph so you always know how much to trust it:
- ✓verified — the AI found a real source and is standing by it.
- ~plausible — a riff. might be true, might not — there's no receipt.
- ✦invented — flat-out made up for the bit. it knows. now you do too.
- ✎human — a real person wrote this one, not the model.
where it came from
bloop.video started as a hackathon project in 2017. you pasted a YouTube link, paused the video, typed a line, set how long it should hang around, unpaused, repeated. it won. then it sat idle for years, because typing every bubble by hand is a slog and nobody made it past a couple dozen.
in 2026 we rebuilt it from scratch and handed the typing to an AI. same idea, no more slog — the machine writes a whole timed track in one go, and you just watch.
want to make your own?
you can't yet — right now you watch what the AI cooks up. want to know the second that changes?
see a bloop that crosses a line? Report abuse and we'll take a look. or head back to the gallery and just watch some.
